72 hours of zero fees left.

From September 9th, Waypoint charges 0.5% per transaction. All of it buys $WAY.

Waypoint went live on Thursday.

In a little over two days, 72 users signed up and $115,000 moved through the platform.

That’s across two waypoints, Uniswap and Morpho, which is the whole Directory right now.

What happens on September 9th

Until then, nothing changes. No fees on anything, on any waypoint.

From the 9th, every transaction carries a 0.5% fee.

Why 0.5%

We’d initially indicated 0.1%. Looking again, that priced Waypoint like a swap fee.

It isn’t a swap. You get research and execution in one place, across equities and DeFi, with no account, no custodian and no broker sitting in the middle. 0.5% is where it belongs.

Where the fee goes

The same place it was always going.

Every fee buys $WAY on the open market. Of that:

  • 90% is burned.
  • 10% goes to the creators of the waypoints used.

That split doesn’t move. The number feeding it is just bigger now, so more supply gets burned and more goes out to the people building the Directory.

Until Wednesday

72 hours, no fees, on everything live.

September 9th.

Until then, it’s free.
